Since the late 19th century, Midsummer has traditionally been celebrated at Skansen in Stockholm. This summer, we had the opportunity to introduce nearly 2,000 guests from Spain to one of Sweden’s most beloved traditions.
Over the course of two days, together with DMC Nordic, we created an authentic Swedish Midsummer experience filled with traditional folk costumes, sunshine, dancing around the maypole, delicious food, drinks, outstanding service, and live entertainment. In other words – a true Swedish Midsummer deluxe.

About the event
When approximately 2,000 guests from Spain arrived at Skansen on a beautiful sunny day, they were welcomed to an authentic Swedish Midsummer celebration, complete with themed cuisine, entertainment, and interactive activities.
The experience began with stilt-walking hosts dressed in traditional Swedish folk costumes, surrounded by beautiful floral arrangements, while live folk musicians created a warm and festive atmosphere. Guests then entered their own dedicated festival area featuring food stations, bars, lounge spaces, lawn games, and plenty of seating.
The celebration continued with an interactive dance lesson around the traditional maypole, led by a Spanish-speaking instructor, followed by a variety of Midsummer-inspired activity stations that invited guests to experience one of Sweden’s most cherished traditions firsthand.
